School Occupational Therapist - Tijeras, New Mexico

A rewarding opportunity awaits a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support a small charter school near Tijeras, NM. This part-time, contract position is perfect for a compassionate OT who thrives in a school setting and enjoys making a tangible difference in students' lives. You’ll work with a close-knit team, serving a caseload of just 18 students in PreK through 5th grade. This is an on-site role with an immediate start date, continuing through June 11th.

Key Qualifications:
• Active New Mexico Occupational Therapy (OT) license
• Valid NMPED license
• Experience in schools, home health, or healthcare environments beneficial
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfort working exclusively on-site
• Ability to collaborate with educators and families

Role Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services to a PreK–5th grade caseload
• Evaluate students and develop treatment plans that address their unique needs
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student goals
• Stay current with documentation and student progress notes
• Offer expert guidance regarding adaptive equipment and classroom strategies
• Attend IEP meetings, contributing professional insights and recommendations
