Job Description

Make a meaningful impact on young learners as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist, working directly with K-3rd grade students for the full school year. This in-person, contract opportunity offers you the chance to support one central location and provide essential services to help children build their communication skills. Collaborate with a team of educators and other related professionals in a welcoming school environment.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Valid SLP state license or eligibility in Arizona
  • Prior experience in a school setting preferred, especially with elementary-age students
  • Strong understanding of diverse communication disorders in the early elementary population
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessments and evidence-based therapy to K-3 students with speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and adjust individualized treatment goals in alignment with IEPs
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to maximize student progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to school and district policies
  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Deliver direct individual and small group therapy sessions
  • Empower students and families through education about speech and language supports
