Pay: $30.00–$40.00/hr to start (higher based on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift + OT as needed

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a field service role based in Jacksonville, FL. This position services earthmoving equipment (track & rubber tire), construction machinery, and related heavy equipment. Technicians have full access to OEM diagnostics, schematics, blueprints, specialty tools, and ongoing training.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and travel to customer job sites.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and powertrains.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative service to reduce downtime.
• Use OEM diagnostic tools and software to identify issues and recommend solutions.
• Document repairs, parts used, and service notes accurately.
• Work closely with dispatch, service management, and parts teams for timely repairs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working on earthmoving equipment, heavy construction machinery, or road-building equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostic procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
• Proficiency using diagnostic tools and computerized diagnostic systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
