Fleet Diesel Mechanic

Express Employment is looking for a Fleet Diesel Mechanic for a dairy distributor on the West Side.

Pay Rate: $22-$26/hour

Job type: Full time, temp to perm

Schedule: 2nd and 3rd shift

Location: Cleveland, OH – Western Ave/Lorain

Job Overview: Maintain mechanical equipment (truck, trailer and reefer units), safely aid in the distribution of all company products.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• One year certificate from college or technical school OR 2+ yrs. experience/ training in general vehicle maintenance and repair OR combination of education and experience
• Own set of tools
• Being a Diesel Mechanic

Certifications required within 3 months of hire:

• Class B CDL
• All EPA licenses/certifications
• Brake Inspector Certification
• Annual Inspector Certification.

Responsibilities:

• Access all areas of truck, trailer, and reefer units as need to perform repairs and maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all units according to manufacturer’s requirements. Make necessary repairs
• Troubleshoot and repair A/C and D/C electric systems; power and drive lines; air and brake systems; lift and hydraulic systems
• Knowledge of TK/Carrier/Cold Plate cooling systems
