Activities Director

A respected skilled nursing and rehabilitation center is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activities Director to lead our resident life and enrichment programs. • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily activity programs for residents in both short-term rehab and long-term care

• Develop creative recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities that meet residents’ physical, emotional, and cognitive needs

• Create and maintain monthly activity calendars and special event programming

• Lead group activities, holiday celebrations, outings, and community engagement opportunities

• Encourage resident participation and build positive relationships with residents and families

• Complete activity assessments and maintain required documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations

• Supervise activity staff and volunteers as needed

• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, social services, and other departments to support resident well-being

• Ensure activity supplies, equipment, and common areas are organized and well maintained

• Previous experience in activities, recreation, or therapeutic programming in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting preferred

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality

• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to activities programming preferred

• Activity Director certification or eligibility preferred
