LPC or LCSW for Private Practice School Based Position

We are a small, down-to-earth private practice partnering with Burrell Area School District to deliver innovative private practice therapy sessions within K-12 school settings. This role bridges the gap between educational success and mental health wellness by providing students convenient, quality care without the burden of travel. Therapists work primarily independently with the option for supervision and focus on behavioral health to support both mental health and educational outcomes. This 1099 contract position offers school-hour shifts with opportunities for telehealth evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments to determine patient status
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Provide regular counseling sessions to support student well-being
• Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers such as psychiatrists
• Manage a caseload of 21-30 clients weekly across school sites
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment
• Occasionally travel between multiple school locations as needed

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years clinical counseling experience
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); LSW considered
• Clinical assessment and therapy planning skills
• Expertise in mental health counseling focusing on behavioral health
• Strong time management and critical thinking skills
• Proven ability to work independently
• Current insurance credentialing with UPMC or Highmark BC/BS preferred
