Journeyman-level Framing Carpenter

We specialize in large additions, garages, kitchens, baths, basements, outdoor spaces, etc. Come work for a company with integrity!Job Summary:Working under the supervision of the lead carpenter, the journeyman-level carpenter will be the second on the framing crew of our residential remodel and addition projects. Responsibilities: Assist the lead carpenter with the demolition and framing of residential remodel projects; jo tasks include but are not limited to:Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, change orders and be able to do material take offs from themLay out wallsLay out and installation of floor joists, stud framing and roof raftersDoor and window installationLay out and installation of stairs; calculate rough stringers to codeInstall sidingCalculate rafters and use squares to create and install stick built roof framingBuild decks, porches and install exterior trimPerform demolitionPerform lead testing and abatement if requiredStep in as lead in the lead's absencePosition Requirements:Minimum of 3-5 years of residential wood framing experience, including remodels and additionsBasic knowledge of plumbing, electric and mechanical codesIn depth knowledge of blueprint reading and structural framing codesOwn basic personal carpentry toolsBe physically fit and able to perform demanding work on a consistent basisSalary: $30 - $38 per hour based on experienceBenefits:Steady 40 hours per weekExcellent Health, Dental, Vision, Short and Long Term Disability insurance, Life InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO), Paid HolidaysSimple IRA with company matchMileage and phone reimbursementWeekends off - great work / life balance
