Optometry Technician

Are you looking to make a career shift or are you a recent graduate? We will train you to to be a highly compensated and always in demand optometry technician. We are a growing practice seeking team players with excellent patient skills. Duties will include scheduling and insurance verification. Computer skills, a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task is essential. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

--Welcome patients and visitors to our office

-- Answer phone and text messages; schedule patient appointments

--Collaborate with doctors and staff to ensure smooth operations

--Assist with preparing charts and verify medical and vision insurances

--Complete pre-test prior to patient seeing the doctor

--Office hours are Monday 9-5; Tuesday 9-6; Thursday 9-5; Friday 8-4; Saturday 9-1

Requirements

-- Maintain medical records accurately and confidentially

-- Strong organization skills and attention to detail

-- Proficiency with computer applications and software is beneficial

-- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including multi-tasking

We provide top-quality eye exams for adult and pediatric patients. We have a full scale optical offering a unique selection of frames. Our practice started in the Brisbane Building in downtown Buffalo in the 1960's!
