Hawkins Transportation Services LLC is looking for a reliable and skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our growing team in Pooler, GA. Responsibilities:
- Operate dump trucks to transport and deliver materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, and construction debris
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Maneuver dump truck on job sites, including tight or uneven terrain, with precision and care
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and crew members
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip records, and documentation as required
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies
- Keep truck clean and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) — Class A or Class B preferred
- Previous experience operating dump trucks or heavy equipment
- Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Familiarity with the Pooler, GA and greater Savannah area roadways is a plus
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments
