Registered Dental Assistant

The Registered Dental Assistant plays a vital role in supporting dental professionals by providing efficient chairside assistance and ensuring a seamless patient experience. Working within a medium-sized team of 5-10 assistants and reporting to the Office Manager, this role combines clinical support with back office administrative duties, including the use of Open dental software. The position requires adherence to high standards of infection control and sterilization procedures while fostering effective communication and collaboration within the front and back dental care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures
• Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols
• Communicate effectively with patients to ensure comfort and understanding
• Collaborate with dental team members to optimize workflow
• Utilize dental software for patient records and scheduling
• Ensure compliance with all clinical and safety regulations
• Support office operations as directed by the Office Manager

Required Qualifications

• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license
• Proficient in dental radiography
• HIPPA and OSHA Certified
• Experience with chairside assistance in general practice
• Strong patient communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a dental team
• Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in dental assisting
