Job Title: General Laborer 1st and 2nd shift - $18/hr

Job Description

The General Laborer plays a key role in assembling, handling, moving, and inspecting seating components while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. This position works closely with production teams to manufacture fixed and telescopic seating systems used in schools, theaters, auditoriums, arenas, and stadiums.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, handle, and move seating components.
  • Inspect components to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain safety and productivity standards in all tasks.
  • Collaborate with production teams to manufacture seating systems.
  • Load and offload parts on paint lines.
  • Assist with cleaning, mopping, and organizing the workspace.
  • Move small parts on wheeled carts.

Essential Skills

  • General labor and manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to stand on feet for 8 hours a day.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, picking, packing, and assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or general labor role.
  • Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to work with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Altamont, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
