Job Description
The Warehouse Transfer Associate plays a key role in maintaining an organized, efficient, and safe distribution environment by handling high-volume product transfers, order picking, and inventory activities. This role involves continuous heavy lifting, use of warehouse equipment, and careful attention to detail to ensure accurate movement and processing of products within a fast-paced warehouse setting.
Responsibilities- Lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis in a labor-intensive environment.
- Use rolling ladders up to 12 feet high to access products stored at various rack levels safely.
- Wrap pallets securely to prepare products for transfer, storage, and shipping.
- Push heavy flatbeds and fill totes with product to support daily transfer and picking operations.
- Walk, stand, bend, and lift for up to 8 hours per shift while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
- Read small print and match numbers and words accurately to ensure correct product identification and order accuracy.
- Use RF scan guns to perform order picking, inventory checks, and product tracking as part of daily warehouse tasks.
- Perform order picking and packing in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while meeting established performance goals.
- Operate pallet jacks and work around other material-handling equipment in racking zones safely and efficiently.
- Maintain warehouse organization, including keeping aisles, racks, and workstations clean, orderly, and free of hazards.
- Safely handle and manage hazardous materials in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Follow written and verbal instructions in English to complete assigned tasks and adhere to safety procedures.
- Support inventory accuracy by properly scanning, counting, and recording product movements.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily transfer, picking, and shipping objectives.
- Wear required steel toe shoes and follow all safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall distribution operations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously in a labor-intensive warehouse environment.
- Comfort working on rolling ladders up to 12 feet high.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift for an entire 8-hour shift.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to read small print and accurately match numbers and words.
- Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Order picking experience using an RF scan gun.
- Experience with high-volume operations and heavy lifting.
- Basic equipment experience, including pallet jacks and other material-handling tools.
- Ability to safely handle and manage hazardous materials in compliance with procedures.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
- Comfort pushing heavy flatbeds and filling totes with product.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to required steel toe footwear.
- Desire and ability to transition from temporary to permanent employment when eligible.
- 2+ years of order picking experience preferred.
- 1+ year of retail experience preferred.
- 1+ year of heavy lifting experience preferred.
- Prior experience using RF scanners for inventory and picking.
- Experience working in large distribution centers with racking and processing areas.
- Familiarity with pallet jacks and wave rider equipment is beneficial.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a large distribution center featuring extensive racking, processing areas, and desk stations for shipping activities. The facility operates Monday through Friday, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with multiple transfer positions and battery-related roles following these daytime hours. Wave riders and pallet jacks are used throughout the racking zones, and team members work around active material-handling equipment in a busy, fast-paced setting. The environment involves continuous walking, standing, bending, and lifting, along with regular use of RF scan guns and other warehouse tools. Steel toe shoes are required as part of the dress code to ensure safety on the floor. New hires will not begin on Mondays or Fridays, and interviews are conducted prior to starting to confirm fit for the warehouse conditions and expectations.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
