Seeking a Procurement Specialist in the Saline MI area. This role is 100% ONSITE M-F 8am - 5pm. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers. They will work diligently to fulfill the commitment of providing the right tool at the right price and the right time, efficiently and accurately performing all tasks related to exceeding our customer’s requirements.
Job Functions:
* Works closely with internal and external customers to ensure optimal service is provided.
* Develop effective business relationships with the supply base.
* Processes customer and vendor orders according to designated process.
* Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status requests.
* Works closely with the credit department to resolve disputed A/R and A/P issues.
* Manages vendor purchase order follow up and issue resolution.
* May handle inventory management and inventory level analysis.
* Review inventory for nonmoving and overstock items and take appropriate action.
* Resolves vendor shipping issues in conjunction with warehouse.

Preferred Education Experience:
Supply Chain Management a plus but not necessary, on the job training provided. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook required. Manufacturing experience a plus, but not required• Experience supporting procurement, purchasing, or buying functions in a fast-paced business environment.
• Working knowledge of purchase order processing and general procurement procedures.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook for tracking activity, organizing information, and managing communication.
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and sound judgment when handling order issues, disputes, or shipment concerns.
• Background in manufacturing or supply chain operations is helpful but not required.
• Exposure to supplier negotiations or contract-related procurement activities is a plus.
