Senior Accountant – Financial Systems & Reporting

CV Resources is partnering with a global organization to identify a Senior Accountant, Financial Systems & Reporting to join their Finance team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong Oracle ERP experience who enjoys working at the intersection of accounting, financial systems, reporting, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.

• Prepare and record journal entries, account analyses, and supporting documentation.

• Perform account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve reconciling items.

• Support global consolidation activities, including intercompany accounting and foreign currency translation and remeasurement.

• Maintain and support the Oracle ERP General Ledger and chart of accounts structure.

• Develop, administer, and support Oracle Cloud EPM Narrative Reporting solutions.

• Monitor and improve financial data validation processes to ensure accurate reporting.

• Support accounting controls and compliance activities.

• Partner with Finance, IT, Compliance, and Transformation teams on financial systems and process improvements.

• Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and scalability within accounting processes and systems.

• Prepare and maintain clear process documentation.

• Analyze and summarize financial information to support business decisions.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 2+ years of professional accounting experience.

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial close processes.

• Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.

• Experience with Oracle ERP is required.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Preferred:

• Oracle Cloud EPM experience.

• Experience with Oracle FCCS, ARCS, Narrative Reporting, EDM, or Oracle EBS.

• Experience supporting financial consolidations and global reporting.

• CPA certification or active CPA candidate status.

• Advanced Excel skills.

• Power BI or other business intelligence/data visualization experience.

• Experience with financial systems, master data governance, or financial data controls.

• Experience driving process improvements, automation, or finance transformation initiatives.

• Experience in technology, utilities, energy, infrastructure, or a similar industry.
