Location: Rockford, IL
Pay: $17.00/Hour
Status: Temp-to-Hire
Shift: 1st Shift

General Operator - Blackening (Short Tanks)
  • Monday-Friday
  • 1st Shift - 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
General Operator - Blackening (Long Tanks) / Packager
  • Monday-Friday
  • 1st Shift - 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
2nd Shift General Operator - Blackening
  • Monday-Friday
  • 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
  • 15% shift premium after transitioning to 2nd shift
  • Shift bonus available after 30 days
Job Summary
We are currently hiring for 1st Shift General Operator - Blackening positions in Rockford, IL. These Temp-to-Hire opportunities involve processing metal parts through blackening operations, inspecting finished products, packaging, and supporting daily production activities in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
  • Process metal parts through blackening tanks according to production requirements.
  • Monitor parts throughout the finishing process to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Package finished products for shipment.
  • Perform product inspections using measuring tools and gauges.
  • Move materials and parts throughout the production area.
  • Follow all safety policies and wear required PPE.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform additional production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Manufacturing or production experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic.
Compensation & Benefits
