A well-regarded law firm with multiple offices throughout California is seeking a Senior Family Law Attorney to join its San Bernardino office. The firm has earned a strong statewide reputation for quality legal work and gives its attorneys the backing, resources, and connectivity of a multi-office platform, all while keeping the feel of a close-knit local office.

This is a great leadership opportunity for an attorney ready to take ownership of building out the family law presence in the San Bernardino market. The person in this role will be one of the office's lead family law practitioners, helping shape the practice, manage incoming matters, and drive new business development for the department.

About the Opportunity

The firm is looking for an experienced family law attorney who can run cases independently while also helping stand up and grow the local family law department. Based in San Bernardino, the attorney will have day-to-day support from local attorneys and staff, plus regular virtual collaboration with the firm's family law team across California.

Responsibilities

  • Handle family law matters including divorce, custody, support, property division, modifications, and related proceedings
  • Manage cases from intake through resolution, including hearings, mediation, negotiation, and trial preparation
  • Serve as a lead point of contact for family law matters in the San Bernardino office
  • Help build and grow the local family law practice through client relationships and business development efforts
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
  • Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and contested matters
  • Collaborate regularly with attorneys and staff across the firm's California offices

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2+ years of direct family law experience required
  • Strong knowledge of California family law procedure and courtroom practice
  • Ability to independently manage cases and client relationships
  • Interest in leadership and helping grow a practice area
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills
