Position Summary: Extrusion Operator:
An AdvantaFlex Extrusion Operator utilizes extrusion equipment and manufacturing processes in the AdvantaFlex Extrusion Department to produce extruded tubing products in order to fulfill production requirements.
Key Job Responsibilities: Extrusion Operator:
- Operates extrusion equipment in accordance with Standard Manufacturing Procedures and work instructions to produce tubing products that conform to specifications.
- Sets up, changes over, and shuts down all extrusion equipment in accordance current procedures.
- Inspects finished goods visually and with measuring tools to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Packages finished goods.
- Uses the production schedule to determine the order in which production jobs are executed.
- Uses paper based and electronic systems to track finished goods production, raw material consumption, scrap, and production time.
- Troubleshoots and corrects quality related defects in products.
- Follows Good Documentation Practices.
- Uses PPE properly, follows all safety procedures.
- Follows cleanroom gowning procedures and exhibits good cleanroom behavior.
- Supports 5S initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements: Extrusion Operator:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Basic computer skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with other team members.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
- Self-motivated, does not need constant supervision.
- Extrusion experience preferred, but not required
