As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for a book of small to medium-sized commercial accounts across various industries. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day servicing needs of clients, maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring optimal coverage and risk management solutions. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can balance multiple priorities while delivering superior customer service and contributing to the agency's growth objectives.
Primary ResponsibilitiesAccount Management & Client Relations- Manage a diverse book of commercial lines accounts including contractors, lessors risk, real estate, restaurants, mercantile, and professional services industries
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, insurance carriers, and internal team members
- Conduct regular account reviews to ensure clients have appropriate coverage and identify additional insurance needs
- Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding policies, coverage questions, claims, and billing matters
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service delivery
- Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within existing accounts to maximize client protection and agency revenue
- Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals accurately and efficiently
- Review and analyze policy documents for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate with carriers to obtain quotes, bind coverage, and resolve policy-related issues
- Prepare and present renewal proposals with coverage recommendations and premium comparisons
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and documentation in the agency management system
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and agency procedures
- Process certificates of insurance and respond to certificate requests in a timely manner
