Job Description:
Join our team as an Apartment Maintenance Technician, where you’ll play an important role in keeping our apartment community safe, functional, and well maintained. In this hands-on position, you’ll complete resident maintenance requests, troubleshoot and repair a variety of property issues, prepare vacant apartments for new residents, and perform preventive maintenance throughout the community. The ideal candidate has general maintenance experience and knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and apartment repairs.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete resident maintenance requests accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Diagnose and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and general maintenance issues.
  • Perform repairs involving drywall, painting, doors, locks, cabinets, flooring, fixtures, and other apartment components.
  • Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including repairs, painting, cleaning coordination, and final inspections.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance throughout the property.
  • Inspect common areas, buildings, grounds, and equipment for maintenance and safety concerns.
  • Maintain exterior areas and assist with grounds upkeep, trash removal, and seasonal property needs.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance situations and participate in an on-call rotation as required.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and inventory in a clean and organized condition.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, property management, vendors, and team members.
  • Document completed work and report significant maintenance concerns to management.
  • Perform other property maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Previous apartment, residential, building, or general maintenance experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness and availability to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to manage multiple maintenance priorities.
