Job Description
Pure PT and Pilates
Rio Grande Valley, TX (Hidalgo County)
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
| Location | McAllen / Weslaco area, Rio Grande Valley, TX
| Employment Type | Full-Time
| Compensation | $110,000 – $135,000, based on experience
We're looking for a Doctor of Physical Therapy who wants more than a caseload — someone who wants to see patients through from first eval to full return to activity, with a performance training program right down the hall to bridge the gap between “pain-free” and “stronger than before.”
About Us
Pure PT and Pilates is an outpatient physical therapy clinic serving the Rio Grande Valley, built around one-on-one care and a direct pipeline from rehab into performance training. We're not a high-volume mill — our model is built so DPTs can actually treat, not just supervise.
About the Role
This role is open as we grow our care team and expand caseload capacity. As a Staff DPT, you'll manage your own patient caseload from evaluation through discharge, with the support of a structured DPT-PTA team model designed to keep caseloads reasonable and outcomes strong. You'll report to our Clinical Director and join a team of 9 licensed therapists. Twelve months in, you'll have built a track record of strong discharge and retention outcomes, and be a trusted clinical voice on the team.

What You'll Do
- Own a full patient caseload — evaluate, diagnose, and build individualized treatment plans
- Progress patients from initial eval through discharge, adjusting plans of care as needed
- Collaborate with a dedicated PTA on your team to keep care consistent week to week
- Document care and communicate with referring physicians in a timely, compliant manner
- Partner with our performance training team to transition discharged patients toward return-to-activity goals
- Contribute to a clinical culture focused on outcomes, not just visit counts
Required:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE-accredited program
- Current Texas PT license (or eligible to obtain before start date)
- Strong clinical reasoning and comfort managing a full outpatient caseload
- Clear, reliable documentation habits
- Orthopedic or sports rehab experience
- Interest in performance training or return-to-sport programming
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) — a plus for our patient population
- $110,000 – $135,000 annually, based on experience
- A structured 52-week video-based program blending mentorship and professional development — built to sharpen clinical skills your first year, not just onboard you
- Ongoing clinical mentorship built into our weekly Friday team meetings
- Quarterly team events to celebrate wins together
- A team of 9 licensed therapists, reporting to a hands-on Clinical Director
- Direct access to our in-house performance training facility
- Manageable caseload structure — built around fixed DPT-PTA teams, not volume targets
- Growth path within a locally owned, expanding clinic
