Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and organized professional to support residents in a senior living environment with a focus on wellness, engagement, and memory care programming. This role helps create a safe, respectful, and enriching atmosphere for residents while partnering with team members to coordinate daily activities, promote independence, and support quality of life.
Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day support to residents in a person-centered and respectful manner.
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and facilitating memory care activities.
- Encourage resident participation in social, recreational, cognitive, and physical programs.
- Support residents with routines that promote comfort, dignity, and engagement.
- Observe and communicate resident needs, preferences, and changes in condition to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain accurate records related to activities, participation, and resident engagement as required.
- Collaborate with care team members to help ensure a consistent and supportive environment.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming activity and living space.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
- Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and applicable care standards.
- Experience in senior living, assisted living, memory care, recreation, wellness, or a related field preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work with individuals living with memory loss, cognitive changes, or varying levels of independence.
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused approach to service.
- Basic computer and documentation skills may be required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional education or training in social services, recreation, wellness, or caregiving is a plus.
- Creative approach to resident engagement and activity planning.
- Calm and adaptable demeanor when supporting residents with changing needs.
