Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Full-Time Evening Shift

Job Summary:
Eastern Star Home in Utica, NY is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. Responsibilities:

• Provide routine, daily nursing care to residents in accordance with established procedures and under the supervision of the Charge Nurse

• Assist residents with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

• Monitor and report changes in residents' condition to the Charge Nurse as soon as possible

• Provide support with daily living activities, including feeding, toileting, and ambulation

• Assist with the care of residents with special needs, such as incontinence and wound care

• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including keeping their rooms tidy and ensuring that equipment is properly stored

• Participate in and receive report from the nurse upon reporting for duty

• Review Resident Care Profiles daily to ensure that you are providing appropriate nursing care

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma and Nursing Assistant certification

• On-the-job or equivalent training in nursing procedures

• Ability to perform lifting, bending, and stretching without limitations

Expectations:

• Consistently report to work on time and ready to work at the start of the shift

• Always provide proper notification when late or absent

• Demonstrate reliability when on-call and available to work overtime when necessary

• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident, facility, and/or physician-related information

• Report to work well-groomed and in compliance with dress code

• Interact in a positive and helpful manner with residents, visitors, physicians, volunteers, and co-workers

Benefits:

• Competitive hourly rate: $21 - $22.5 per hour

• Full-time position with opportunities for overtime
