Job Description
Scalzo, Zogby & Wittig, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to provide prompt, accurate, and courteous service to our commercial clients. In this role, you will support our clients and producers/sales team by handling policy inquiries, changes, quotes, and billing questions, and play a key role in retaining and growing our commercial book of business.

Responsibilities
Provide technical support to clients and the producer/sales team, analyzing client needs, coverage forms, and quotations
Schedule and, when requested, accompany producers on client and prospect meetings
Order and issue binders, certificates, policies, and endorsements; verify accuracy before sending to clients
Handle cancellation requests, determine reasons, work to save accounts, and notify the producer/sales team per agency standards
Actively identify opportunities to round out accounts and increase coverage
Refer clients to Personal Lines when appropriate
Assist with claims, submitting first reports, following up on status, and keeping clients informed
Review policy audits for accuracy and coordinate corrections between client and carrier
Determine appropriate billing method (direct or agency) and invoice accordingly
Review client contracts for insurance requirements and compare to current policy for compliance
Prepare renewal proposals, insurance summaries, and schedules for account review
Build strong working relationships with underwriters and marketing representatives to support renewals
Maintain a solid understanding of carrier market appetite to help facilitate quoting
Requirements
Associate's degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum 3 years of insurance-related experience
Active Property & Casualty license, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with Agency Management Systems
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task with strong written and verbal communication
