Givens Estates is looking for a PRN Life Enrichment Associate to support our Life Enrichment Team. The primary purpose of this position is to provide life enrichment through holistic programming encompassing the seven dimensions of wellness (emotional, vocational, physical, spiritual, intellectual, social, environmental) for our residents at all levels of care. This job is scheduled on an as-needed basis to fill in for Life Enrichment staff who are out sick, on vacation etc.
What you'll do:
- Promote, teach and facilitate appropriate scheduled life enrichment programs in groups or individual projects (Approximately 85% of your typical day)
- Utilizes amenity space to develop and execute innovative, creative, and dynamic events, services and programs
- Develops relationships with residents that encourages and assist them as needed to increase participation in life enrichment programs based on individual participant’s needs, goals and/or ability levels
- Solicit the involvement of the community (Givens Clusters, family members, clubs, groups, organizations, agencies, churches, individuals, etc.) when planning programs and events
- Drive vehicles as necessary to initiate and promote life enrichment both within the facility and outside the facility, as weather permits
- Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor
What you'll need:
- High School or GED equivalent
- One to two years of experience in leading programming (preferably with seniors)
- Must have, as a minimum: some experience with older adults is preferred
- Valid driver’s license and proof of good driving record
- Commercial driver’s license or ability to obtain one within reasonable time of employment (as required)
- First Aid Certification or ability to obtain one within reasonable time of employment (as required)
- Experience and comfort leading group exercise classes in Independent Living, classes range from group exercise to aquatics to yoga and circuit training.
Compensation for this role is $19.00-$21.00 based on background and experience.
