Design Drafter (Remote Contract)

About the Opportunity:Saratech is seeking Design Drafters to provide expertise in CAD software, technical drawing standards, & visualization techniques to produce accurate, detailed, and clear technical drawings & models. Salary Range:$60+ per hour (Remote, 6-9+ month Contract initially, and could go up to 12+ months)Duties and Responsibilities: Create 2D model updates and 2D drawings for turbomachineryInterprets engineering sketches, specifications, redline markups, calculations, and other design inputs to accurately translate concepts into detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and modelsApplies CAD software tools, drafting principles, and industry best practices to create precise representations of components and systemsEnsures that all drawings and models clearly convey necessary information for manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or construction, including accurate dimensions, materials specifications, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), annotations, and section viewsReviews created or modified drawings and models for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company, project, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, AIA) before submission or releaseEducation and Experience5+ years of experience with turbomachineryProficient in NX CAD 2412 & Teamcenter 2506Experience with modeling of complex partsGood understanding of GD&T, Part Tolerancing, and how to find clashes in CAD modelsOther Requirements:Complies with all organizational policies and proceduresMaintains strict confidentiality of all customer and/or employee information to assure customer and/or employee rights are protectedAdheres to policies regarding notification of absence and PTO requestsAttends all mandatory management and staff meetingsRepresents the organization in a respectful and professional mannerAttend and comply with annual health, safety, training and education requirementsAdheres to dress code, appearance is neat and cleanSubject to background checkUS Citizen or Green CardBenefits:Retirement Plan: All employees can enroll in the company's 401k with company matching.Paid Sick time: All full-time and part-time employees will receive 40 sick hours per year or minimum sick time required by the state.NOTE TO STAFFING AGENCIES AND RECRUITERS: Saratech does not accept unsolicited resumes from any external agency for the placement of any position.
