Key Personnel is seeking a Manufacturing Planner to join a growing manufacturing operation in the Tulsa, OK area.

Manufacturing Planner Pay: $90,000/year

Manufacturing Planner Hours: Full-Time | Standard Business Hours

Manufacturing Planner Summary:

The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for coordinating production planning and scheduling to ensure manufacturing goals are achieved on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. This position works closely with managers, production employees, engineering, and other departments to ensure materials, equipment, labor, and workspaces are prepared to support efficient production. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, manufacturing planning experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

Manufacturing Planner Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Analyze customer-supplied data, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Develop, manage, and coordinate manufacturing production schedules.
  • Coordinate manufacturing processes to ensure production goals and deadlines are met.
  • Plan and coordinate materials, labor, equipment, and workspace requirements.
  • Monitor production workflows and identify potential delays, bottlenecks, or resource constraints.
  • Coordinate the production of one or more products throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure production schedules are accurate, achievable, and aligned with customer requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and resource utilization.
  • Schedule manufacturing activities to minimize waste, downtime, and production delays.
  • Work closely with managers and production personnel to ensure resources are available when needed.
  • Review raw material and labor requirements to support production schedules.
  • Monitor production progress and make scheduling adjustments as necessary.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning and workflow.
  • Ensure manufacturing activities follow established quality and engineering standards.
  • Analyze production data and use findings to improve planning and scheduling processes.
  • Maintain accurate production planning records, reports, and documentation.
  • Communicate production schedules, changes, and priorities effectively across departments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Manufacturing Planner Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of manufacturing planning experience in a relevant industry.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and resource planning.
  • Experience following established quality and engineering standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, customer specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet or database management tools.
  • Experience with project management or production planning software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with management, engineering, production, and other departments.
  • Relevant degree preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

  • Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing and production facility.
  • Ability to move throughout the manufacturing facility and navigate stairs.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to visually review hard-copy customer specifications, engineering drawings, production documents, and other technical materials.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying levels of noise and activity.
  • Ability to remain focused and organized while working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Must be able to safely follow all applicable workplace and manufacturing safety procedures.
