Production Assembler III – 1st Shift

Position Overview
Alliance Workforce is seeking an experienced Production Assembler III to join a growing manufacturing team in St. Petersburg. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced assembler with strong electronic and mechanical assembly skills who can read prints, follow detailed work instructions, solder, troubleshoot, and maintain high-quality production standards. The Production Assembler III will work on basic through complex assemblies while also supporting training, product audits, process improvements, and prototype builds.

What You'll Do
  • Assemble basic, moderately complex, and complex electronic and mechanical products.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, prints, bills of materials, and process documentation.
  • Perform soldering using a soldering iron and various soldering techniques.
  • Troubleshoot and rework products as needed.
  • Perform prototype assembly operations.
  • Train and instruct coworkers on assembly processes and methods.
  • Perform in-process product audits to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Assist with developing and improving standardized work instructions.
  • Perform epoxy and potting processes, including setup, mixing, application, and cleanup.
  • Properly use mechanical and electrical assembly tools, fixtures, and test equipment.
  • Perform basic computer tasks and data entry.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and calibration as directed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased production efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation following 5S standards.
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Complete assigned work accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Work overtime when needed.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 1 year of production assembly experience.
  • Strong electronic and mechanical assembly skills.
  • IPC soldering certification/experience required.
  • Ability to read and understand prints, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical principles, including ESD, surface mount, and component identification.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Good math aptitude.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and identify assembly issues.
  • Comfortable using hand tools, test equipment, and production fixtures.
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. without assistance.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for detailed assembly work.
  • Bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Strong fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Pay Rate: $18/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Location: St. Petersburg, FL 33716
