Position Summary


We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a Part-Time or PRN position at our Post-Acute Rehab / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). In this role, you will evaluate, treat, and supervise patients to improve mobility, cognition, strength, and activities of daily living (ADLs). You will work in accordance with AOTA guidelines and collaborate closely with families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients for rehabilitation services within 24 to 48 hours of physician orders.
  • Develop and implement effective, individualized treatment plans.
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in clinical delivery.
  • Communicate progress with physicians, clinical managers, patients, and family members.
  • Participate in care meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions.
  • Document services accurately, completing daily billing and treatment notes per policy.
  • Instruct families and nursing staff on patient maintenance and restorative programs.
  • Assist with discharge planning and recommend necessary adaptive equipment.
  • Supervise OT/COTA students from affiliating universities and colleges.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensure: Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
