Job Description
Picht & Sons is looking for a Groundskeeper / Property Care Technician to help keep our managed properties clean, presentable, and ready for residents. We need someone who takes pride in the condition of a property and notices the things other people tend to walk past a damaged fence board, overgrown shrubs, debris near an entrance, or a small exterior repair that shouldn't wait.
Most days will be spent moving between properties and taking care of whatever needs attention rather than working in one location all day.
What You'll Be Doing
- Walk properties regularly and take care of general exterior upkeep.
- Keep entrances, walkways, common areas, yards, and surrounding grounds clean and presentable.
- Handle light landscaping work, including trimming, clearing leaves and debris, and basic lawn care when needed.
- Take care of minor exterior repairs that don't require a specialized contractor.
- Check fences, gates, exterior lighting, signs, gutters, and other visible property features for damage.
- Help prepare vacant properties before new tenants move in.
- Remove unwanted items or debris left around properties after move-outs.
- Report larger maintenance problems to the property management team and provide photos or details when helpful.
- Assist maintenance technicians with basic property work when an extra set of hands is needed.
- Keep company tools and equipment clean, organized, and ready for use.
What We're Looking For
- Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, property maintenance, construction, or handyman experience is helpful.
- Comfortable working outdoors in Florida weather.
- Able to work independently and move between different properties during the day.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Good eye for property condition and willingness to take care of small problems before they become larger ones.
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
- Able to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, carrying equipment, and working on your feet for extended periods.
- Dependable and respectful when working around tenants and occupied homes.
Benefits
- $38,000 – $50,000 annual salary, depending on experience.
- Health insurance options.
- Paid vacation and personal time.
- Paid company holidays.
- Retirement plan options.
- Mileage reimbursement for approved work travel.
- Company tools and equipment provided where applicable.
- Paid training and opportunities to learn additional maintenance skills.
- Opportunity to advance into maintenance technician, senior property care, or other property operations positions.
