The successful candidate will design, build, and maintain robust automation test suites using industry standards. This role will report to the program manager. The ideal candidate will be motivated by the opportunity to support public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private companies in transforming their data into actionable insights. The candidate must be willing and able to work 3-4 days per week at our client's site in downtown Dallas, TX. What you will do:Build and maintain automated UI test suites using Selenium (or an equivalent framework such as Playwright or Cypress), covering critical user journeys across supported browsersBuild and maintain robotic process automation (RPA) workflows using UiPath or equivalent RPA platforms to support test execution and repetitive validation tasks Perform accessibility testing using Deque axe (or equivalent tooling) to validate Section 508 and WCAG compliance across web applications Manage test cases, execution results, and defect tracking in Jira with Xray, and maintain test documentation and process standards in ConfluenceDesign and extend API-level test coverage with RESTAssured or comparable tooling, including contract, negative-path, and data-driven scenariosOwn the regression suite end-to-end (scope, structure, execution cadence, and runtime) and keep it fast enough to run on every pull requestIntegrate test execution into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps), including parallelization, containerized test environments, and quality gates that block bad buildsTriage failures and drive flake to zero: root-cause instability, fix or quarantine unreliable tests, and report on suite health with real metricsPublish clear test results and coverage reporting that developers and product stakeholders actually useReview application code and test code alike, and advocate for testability in design discussions before features are builtContribute to test data management, environment setup, and reusable automation libraries that other engineers can build uponCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement quality engineering/assurance standards and processesOther duties as assignedRequired Education:Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related disciplineRequired Experience:At least three years of professional experience building automated UI, API, and regression test suites for production softwareDemonstrated experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and enforcing quality gatesHands-on experience with UiPath or another RPA platform for automating repetitive test and validation workflows Required Skills:Proficiency with Jira and Xray for test case management, execution tracking, and defect logging Hands-on proficiency with Selenium, RESTAssured (HTTP, REST, JSON), or equivalent automation frameworks with the ability to stand up a suite from scratch, not just extend an existing oneStrong programming skills in at least one language commonly used for test automation (Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#)Comfort with Git-based workflows, code review, and treating test code as production codeAbility to debug failures across the stack (e.g., application logs, network traffic, database state) and communicate findings preciselyExcellent understanding of software quality assurance principles and practicesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsPreferred:Working knowledge of Confluence for test documentation and process standards Experience with Deque axe or equivalent tooling for Section 508/WCAG accessibility testingExperience with performance or load testing (JMeter, k6, Gatling)Exposure to containerized or cloud-hosted test infrastructure (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, Selenium Grid)Background in a regulated or high-availability environment where release quality carries real consequencesPrior work on federal, state, or local government programsSuccess at AmidaCommunication is the key to success at Amida.
