Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Welder/Fabricator for our client. This role is responsible for fabricate and weld custom structural components from engineering drawings while ensuring dimensional accuracy, weld quality, and compliance with AWS standards.

What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Fabricate and weld structural components such as beams, tongs, C-hooks, and specialized mill equipment from engineering drawings.
- Perform structural welding on carbon steel using SMAW and MCAW processes to AWS standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols.
- Perform layout, fit-up, grinding, and dimensional inspections of fabricated parts.
- Inspect completed work for weld quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized fabrication work area.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of structural steel welding and fabrication experience.
- Experience with SMAW and MCAW welding processes.
- Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols.
- Experience with layout, fit-up, grinding, and inspection.
- Ability to fabricate structural components from engineering drawings.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work safely in a fabrication shop environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Communication skills.
