PRODUCTION MANAGER – CABLE/WIRING MANUFACTURING

Location: Plano, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday 7am to 5pm
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay: Based on Experience | $33-$48 per hour (Weekly Pay)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations within a custom cable, wiring, and electronics assembly environment.

The Production Manager will lead production employees, coordinate workflow, maintain quality standards, and ensure customer orders are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with at least three years of production-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily production activities and assign work based on schedules and priorities.
• Supervise, coach, and support assemblers and production employees.
• Monitor productivity, attendance, quality, and employee performance.
• Ensure cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and related products meet customer specifications.
• Coordinate production schedules, materials, staffing, and equipment needs.
• Track work orders and ensure production deadlines are met.
• Maintain accurate production, quality, testing, and traceability records.
• Identify workflow issues and implement process improvements.
• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, and Management teams.
• Enforce safety procedures and maintain an organized production environment.
• Assist with employee training, evaluations, and corrective action when necessary.
• Report production results, delays, staffing needs, and quality concerns to leadership.

Qualifications

• At least three years of Production Manager or Production Supervisor experience is required.
• Manufacturing leadership experience is required.
• Cable, wiring, electronics, electromechanical, or assembly experience is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead production employees and manage daily workflow.
• Experience with production scheduling, quality control, and performance tracking.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer and production-reporting skills.
• Dependable attendance and professional leadership skills.

• Custom cable or wire-harness manufacturing
• Copper or fiber-optic assemblies
• Electrical box builds or electromechanical assembly
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement
• ISO-controlled manufacturing environments
• Production testing, serialization, and traceability
