Location

This is an on-site opportunity in Kennebunk, ME, offering the chance to work closely with our legal team in a collaborative and professional office environment.

Note

At least 1 year of directly relevant family law paralegal experience is required for this role.

Job Description

  • Support attorneys with a variety of family law matters from case opening through resolution.
  • Prepare, organize, and file legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and other case materials.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized client files, records, calendars, and deadlines.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, and other parties.
  • Assist with gathering, reviewing, and organizing documents and information relevant to active cases.
  • Help prepare attorneys and clients for hearings, meetings, and other legal proceedings.
  • Monitor case deadlines and proactively help keep matters moving forward.
  • Provide responsive, detail-oriented support while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment focused on exceptional client service.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of family law paralegal experience.
  • Strong knowledge of legal document preparation and case management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Professional, client-focused approach and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Paralegal certificate or degree is a plus, but not required based on the information provided.
