$24–$30+ Per Hour | Overtime + Production Bonuses + Tips
Brake Club USA – Houston, TX

Brake Club USA is growing and looking for an experienced Mobile Brake Technician to join our Houston team.

This is not an entry-level position.

We are looking for an experienced automotive technician with strong hands-on brake repair experience who can independently perform brake repairs, inspections, and diagnostics at customers' homes and businesses throughout the Houston area.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting base pay: $24 per hour
  • Increase to $25 per hour after 30 days of consistent employment and satisfactory performance
  • $24–$30+ per hour overall earning range depending on overtime, completed jobs, bonuses, and tips
  • Overtime paid at 1.5× after 40 hours
  • $15 production bonus for completing a 3rd job in one day
  • Additional $15 bonus for every completed job after the 3rd job
  • 100% of customer tips go directly to the technician

30-Day Pay Increase

Technicians who demonstrate reliable attendance, punctuality, quality workmanship, safe repair practices, professional customer service, efficient job completion, proper documentation, and consistent adherence to Brake Club USA procedures during their first 30 days will be eligible for an increase from $24 to $25 per hour.

Additional advancement and compensation opportunities may become available for high-performing technicians as the company continues to grow.

Schedule

Brake Club USA is currently operating six days per week during our growth and ramp-up period.

  • Daily start time: 8:00 AM
  • Approximately 40–48+ hours per week, depending on business volume
  • Overtime paid after 40 hours
  • Most technicians should expect approximately 8 hours of work per scheduled day
  • Approximately 2–4 customer jobs per day
  • We generally will not schedule more than four jobs unless appointments are located within a compact territory
  • Technicians may spend approximately 2–4 hours per day driving, depending on route and territory
  • Jobs are scheduled and routed by Brake Club USA
  • Full-time opportunities available
  • Some part-time and weekend opportunities may also be available

Because this is a mobile outdoor position, applicants must be comfortable working outside in Houston weather conditions.

Brake Club USA provides company vehicles for qualifying technicians as well as gas, hydration supplies, and outdoor cooling equipment.

What You'll Do

As a Brake Club USA Mobile Brake Technician, you will travel to scheduled customer locations throughout the Houston area and perform professional brake inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Replace brake pads
  • Replace brake rotors
  • Replace brake calipers
  • Replace electronic brake wear sensors
  • Perform brake fluid flushes
  • Bleed hydraulic brake systems
  • Service drum brake systems
  • Replace brake shoes and related drum brake components
  • Inspect complete braking systems
  • Diagnose brake noises and squealing
  • Diagnose vibration and pulsation
  • Diagnose uneven brake wear
  • Identify additional brake-related safety concerns
  • Properly bed-in new brake components when required
  • Test and verify repairs before completing each job
  • Perform road tests when appropriate
  • Take clear before-and-after photos
  • Complete digital work orders using a smartphone
  • Upload repair documentation and job photos
  • Communicate professionally with customers
  • Maintain company equipment
  • Maintain and care for the company service vehicle
  • Keep customer work areas clean and professional
  • Follow Brake Club USA repair procedures and quality standards

Required Experience

Applicants must have professional automotive repair experience with a strong emphasis on brake systems.

You must already be comfortable independently performing common brake repairs without constant supervision.

Technicians should be comfortable servicing vehicles including:

Required Qualifications

  • Professional automotive or brake repair experience
  • Strong hands-on experience replacing brake pads and rotors
  • Experience replacing brake calipers
  • Ability to properly bleed hydraulic brake systems
  • Strong understanding of disc brake systems
  • Ability to diagnose brake noises, vibration, pulsation, and uneven wear
  • Ability to identify brake-related safety concerns
  • Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing repair quality
  • Must own professional automotive hand tools and power tools
  • Valid driver's license
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Smartphone
  • Comfortable using mobile apps and digital work orders
  • Comfortable taking and uploading job photos
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Strong customer-service skills
  • Professional communication skills
  • Able to work independently without constant supervision
  • Able to follow established company procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASE A5 Brakes Certification strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of professional automotive repair experience
  • Drum brake experience
  • Brake shoe replacement experience
  • Brake fluid flush experience
  • Electronic parking brake experience
  • European and luxury vehicle experience
  • BMW and Mercedes-Benz brake experience
  • Brake diagnostic experience
  • Dealership experience
  • Independent repair shop experience
  • Previous mobile mechanic experience

Important

This position is specifically for an experienced automotive or brake technician.

You should already be comfortable independently completing brake pads, brake rotors, brake calipers, brake bleeding, brake inspections, and brake diagnostics.

This is not a position where a technician will be trained from the beginning on basic brake repair.

We are looking for technicians who can work efficiently and independently while maintaining excellent workmanship.

Speed matters, but quality and safety always come first.
