Duties

• Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Cook dishes with precision, ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality in every plate
• Support menu planning by assisting with ingredient prep and portioning for daily service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety protocols
• Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices are followed at all times
• Assist with catering events or special functions as needed, providing excellent food service to guests
• Support the kitchen team by performing basic food handling tasks and ensuring smooth kitchen operations during busy hours

Experience

• Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
• Hands-on kitchen experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is essential
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation are important for success in this role
• Experience with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is required
• Background in catering or large-scale food service is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
