Medication Assistant/Clinical Coordinator
Job Description
Be Well Medical & Aesthetics is seeking an exceptionally dependable, organized and adaptable Medical Assistant/Clinical Coordinator to join our growing practice.
This is not a traditional Medical Assistant position where you perform the same few duties throughout the day. We are a busy medical and aesthetics practice, and this role requires someone who is comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities, changing priorities throughout the day and taking initiative without needing constant direction. Ideal candidate can handled a fast-paced environment and not feel overwhelmed easily.
Candidates with experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, high-volume medical practices or other fast-paced healthcare environments may be especially well suited for this position.

Responsibilities
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls and patient inquiries
- Room patients and obtain/document vital signs
- Administer injections
- Review the patient calendar and identify necessary lab orders and testing
- Perform venipuncture for new and established patients
- Complete the full laboratory workflow, including ordering labs, collecting specimens, centrifuging, labeling, packaging and preparing specimens for pickup
- Monitor and process incoming faxes
- Initiate and manage patient referrals
- Complete prior authorizations
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding referrals, prior authorizations and patient coverage
- Scan and upload patient paperwork and outside medical records into appropriate systems
- Coordinate patient-related orders, including peptides and other prescribed products
- Order and maintain clinic medical supplies and inventory
- Assist providers and other team members as needs arise throughout the day
- Follow through on assigned tasks and communicate when issues need provider attention
- Build the work team up and perform as a great team member
Qualifications
- Previous healthcare experience required
- Medical Assistant or even LPN or Paramedic experience considered
- Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred. IV experience strongly peferred within scopr of practice.
- Experience in an ER, urgent care or other high-volume clinical setting strongly desired.
- Comfortable using computers/typing
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and learning new software
- Strong telephone and patient communication skills
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required

Schedule
This position requires schedule flexibility. Applicants should be comfortable with hours that may vary based on clinic needs.
This position does not include employer-sponsored benefits, but does include great employee discounts. Hours are typically Tuesday-Thursday 9:00-5:30/6 & Friday 9:30-3:00.
