Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on fleet vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools
- Conduct DOT inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
- Complete brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain repairs
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch and operations to minimize vehicle downtime
- Identify and order necessary parts and supplies to complete repairs efficiently
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a fleet technician, diesel mechanic, or automotive technician
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing light, medium, or heavy-duty vehicles
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and vehicle compliance standards
- Ability to use diagnostic software and hand/power tools effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- ASE certification(s) preferred but not required
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
