Job summary

Modern Diesel is hiring a full-time Automotive & Truck Technician for our Austin, TX shop. We're looking for someone with at least 2 years of hands-on experience working on cars and trucks and a solid background in suspension work. Pay is $25–$30 per hour based on experience and certifications, with free basic health coverage, a 401(k) match, and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Since 2015, Modern Diesel has kept Central Texas rolling from our shop at 2900 N FM 973 in Austin. We work on light-, medium-, and heavy-duty diesel — pickups, semis, trailers, Sprinter vans, import diesels, and off-road diesel equipment — plus the gasoline trucks, cars, SUVs, and vans our customers bring us.

Responsibilities

• Work on gas and diesel vehicles
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Diagnose and repair common DTCs and customer complaints
• Install and replace suspension components and aftermarket off-road accessories

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience working on cars and trucks (required)
• Experience with suspension work (required)

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Nights and weekends belong to you and your family
