Logistics Dispatcher


Job Summary


We are looking for a reliable and organized Logistics Dispatcher to coordinate daily transportation activities, communicate with drivers and warehouse teams, and ensure shipments are picked up and delivered efficiently and on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and dispatch drivers for scheduled pickups and deliveries.
  • Monitor driver routes, schedules, and shipment status.
  • Communicate with drivers, customers, warehouses, and transportation partners.
  • Provide drivers with delivery instructions, paperwork, and necessary updates.
  • Track shipments and proactively address delays, missed appointments, or other issues.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch, delivery, and transportation records.
  • Assist with scheduling dock appointments and coordinating trailer movements.
  • Communicate changes in schedules or priorities to the appropriate teams.
  • Ensure all transportation activities follow company safety and operational procedures.
  • Assist with resolving customer and driver concerns in a professional manner.
  • Perform other logistics and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in logistics, dispatching, transportation, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with computers, email, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with drivers, warehouse personnel, and management.
  • Knowledge of transportation or warehouse management systems is a plus.
