Job Description
The Dental Assistant plays a vital role in supporting a medium-sized dental team of 4-6 members by providing efficient chairside assistance and ensuring smooth daily operations. Reporting directly to the Dentist, the Dental Assistant focuses on daily patient care, assisting during dental procedures, handling administrative duties, and managing inventory. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, including the potential to become a Lead Dental Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures
- Prepare patients for treatment and ensure patient comfort
- Sterilize and organize dental instruments
- Process dental X-rays accurately and efficiently
- Maintain patient records and manage appointment scheduling
- Handle inventory management and order supplies as needed
- Implement infection control protocols and ensure compliance adherence
- Educate patients on dental care and post-procedure instructions
- Collaborate effectively with the dental team to optimize workflow
- Perform front office duties to support administrative operations
- Utilize experience with dental implants in clinical assistance
- Participate in occasional local training sessions
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a dental assistant
- Proficiency in chairside assistance and infection control
- Knowledge of dental implant procedures
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
