Bar Manager

The Bar Manager oversees the daily operations of the bar, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient staff management, and smooth inventory control. Working with a medium-sized team of 5 to 15 members, the manager directly reports to the Owner and General Manager, focusing on maintaining high standards across all bar functions with no travel required. This role supports the establishment’s operational success by managing schedules, training staff, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring accurate POS management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead bar staff to deliver excellent customer service
• Manage inventory to ensure optimal stock levels and reduce waste
• Coordinate staff scheduling to maintain adequate coverage
• Train new employees on operational standards and service quality
• Maintain vendor relationships to ensure timely deliveries and favorable terms
• Oversee Point of Sale (POS) system management and transaction accuracy
• Handle customer concerns and resolve issues promptly

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in hospitality management
• Possession of a valid Alcohol Server Permit
• Strong skills in staff management and inventory control
• Proficiency with scheduling and Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Demonstrated leadership and effective communication abilities
• Excellent customer service orientation
