Location

Jacksonville, Florida. This is a primarily in-office opportunity designed for collaboration and mentorship, with flexibility for approximately one remote day per week after you are established in the role, with potential for additional flexibility over time.

To be considered, you must hold an active Florida Bar license. We welcome applications from newly licensed attorneys as well as attorneys with directly relevant insurance coverage litigation experience.

Job Description

  • Handle a variety of business and insurance coverage litigation matters, including cases involving underlying construction defect claims.
  • Draft persuasive motions, briefs, legal opinions, and other written advocacy for courts and clients.
  • Conduct legal research, case analysis, and detailed evaluation of complex coverage issues.
  • Attend and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Collaborate closely with experienced attorneys and contribute to case strategy.
  • Develop strong knowledge of insurance coverage law through hands-on work and mentorship.
  • Manage assignments with attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong written communication.
  • Gain exposure to all stages of litigation while building increasing independence and responsibility.
  • For experienced attorneys, contribute insurance coverage knowledge and make an immediate impact on active matters.

Qualifications

  • Active Florida Bar license required.
  • Juris Doctor degree required.
  • Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Genuine interest in litigation and willingness to learn and develop in insurance coverage law.
  • Collaborative, professional, detail-oriented approach.
  • Prior litigation or insurance coverage experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with depositions, mediations, or court proceedings is beneficial.
