Senior Nuxt Ecommerce Engineer

We are hiring a contract Senior Nuxt Ecommerce Engineer to fix and harden the shopping cart and checkout flow on an existing ecommerce website.

The main job is to investigate and fix cart problems at the root cause, not apply temporary patches.

You will work across the frontend and backend to improve cart state, quantity changes, product variants, inventory checks, inventory reservations, pricing, discounts, shipping rules, cart persistence, checkout handoff, error handling, race conditions, stale data, and mobile behavior.

The stack includes Nuxt 3, Vue 3, TypeScript, Supabase, PostgreSQL, APIs, and automated tests.

You should have strong experience with ecommerce systems and understand how carts interact with inventory, checkout, payments, and database state.

Responsibilities include reproducing existing bugs, tracing the real cause through the code and database, fixing the issues safely, cleaning up weak cart logic where necessary, adding regression tests, and verifying the full cart to checkout flow.

We are looking for someone senior who can work independently in an existing production codebase and make precise changes without breaking working systems.
