Bindery Operator
Job Description
1st Shift 8am-430pm
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor bindery equipment (cutters, folders, stitchers, binders, collators, laminators, etc.)
- Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and consistency against job specifications
- Load and unload materials from machines safely and efficiently
- Perform routine machine adjustments, minor troubleshooting, and basic maintenance
- Package, label, and stage finished goods for shipment or distribution
- Maintain accurate production counts and completed job documentation
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures where applicable
- Keep work area clean, organized, and free of debris (5S standards)
- Communicate equipment issues, material shortages, or quality concerns to the supervisor promptly
- Meet or exceed established production and quality standards
