We're seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our Purpose Preschool Academy team! What You'll Do
- Develop and implement engaging educational programs that align with our developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards, ensuring a stimulating and supportive environment for our children to grow and learn.
- Lead by example and empower your teaching team to achieve success through modeling, coaching, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Design and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth, fostering a love of learning in every child.
- Maintain open and regular communication with parents, providing progress updates and involving them in their child's educational journey.
- Ensure our center's policies and state regulations are met, upholding the highest standards of quality and care.
- Cultivate a healthy and safe classroom environment, prioritizing hygiene, cleanliness, and the well-being of our children.
- Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers, ensuring they're following established protocols and supporting the smooth operation of our program.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, staying organized and ensuring seamless communication.
- Commit to ongoing professional development, embracing new ideas and strategies to enhance your practice and contribute to our center's excellence.
Requirements
- Must clear a full background check and pass a health screening.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Able to sit on the floor, kneel, stand, and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Associate’s degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience.
