About This Role

We're seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our Purpose Preschool Academy team! What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement engaging educational programs that align with our developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards, ensuring a stimulating and supportive environment for our children to grow and learn.
  • Lead by example and empower your teaching team to achieve success through modeling, coaching, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Design and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth, fostering a love of learning in every child.
  • Maintain open and regular communication with parents, providing progress updates and involving them in their child's educational journey.
  • Ensure our center's policies and state regulations are met, upholding the highest standards of quality and care.
  • Cultivate a healthy and safe classroom environment, prioritizing hygiene, cleanliness, and the well-being of our children.
  • Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers, ensuring they're following established protocols and supporting the smooth operation of our program.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, staying organized and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development, embracing new ideas and strategies to enhance your practice and contribute to our center's excellence.


Requirements

  • Must clear a full background check and pass a health screening.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Able to sit on the floor, kneel, stand, and respond quickly to emergencies.
  • Associate’s degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • A strong understanding of child development.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience.
