Position Summary
Seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with strong programming and setup experience to manufacture precision components in a fast-paced job shop environment. This hands-on role requires the ability to program, set up, and operate CNC machinery, as well as make program edits and adjustments directly at the machine. Experience with Mastercam and G-code programming is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machining equipment to produce high-precision components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs, making adjustments at the machine as needed to improve efficiency and maintain quality standards.
  • Prepare machines for production by selecting, installing, and aligning appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T requirements, and work instructions to ensure accurate part production.
  • Utilize G-code and CNC control systems to troubleshoot machining challenges, adjust offsets, and refine machining processes.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Perform deburring and finishing operations to achieve required dimensional and surface-quality standards.
  • Conduct routine equipment maintenance and address minor machine issues to support reliable operation and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality personnel to resolve production concerns and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation, and promptly communicate any quality, safety, or production issues.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a CNC Machinist in a job shop or custom manufacturing environment, including hands-on programming, setup, and machine operation.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming and the ability to create, modify, and troubleshoot programs using G-code and machine control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and technical work instructions.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
  • Experience with Mastercam is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently, identify and resolve machining challenges, and make program or offset adjustments directly at the machine.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to producing high-quality precision components.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Employment Type & Compensation
  • This is a Full-Time | Direct Hire
  • Pay rate is $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Application Window: Open until filled
Work Schedule
  • 1st Shift, Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–4:00 PM
