POSITION SUMMARY
The Guest Safety Ambassador supports a safe, welcoming, and high-energy environment for guests and team members within a fast-paced restaurant and bar setting. This role focuses on guest interaction, situational awareness, and proactive communication to help ensure a positive experience while supporting compliance with company policies and applicable laws.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Represent and uphold company culture while delivering exceptional guest service.
•\tMaintain awareness of entrances, exits, and dining/bar areas to support a safe and positive guest environment.
•\tCheck identification and support compliance with age restrictions in compliance with alcohol service laws.
•\tRemain present and observant throughout the venue, identifying and communicating any unusual or concerning activity to management.
•\tRespond to guest concerns or disturbances using de-escalation techniques and promptly involve management when appropriate.
•\tAssist management in facilitating safe and orderly guest departures when necessary and in accordance with company policy.
•\tSupport emergency response efforts by promptly notifying management and following established procedures.
•\tPrepare detailed incident reports involving guests, employees, or property.
•\tWork closely with management to address issues and communicate any concerns.
•\tSupport and uphold company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
•\tMaintain a visible and professional presence to deter inappropriate behavior.
•\tProvide excellent guest interaction by being approachable, respectful, and solution oriented.
•\tMonitor capacity limits and assist with crowd flow during peak hours.
•\tFollow all safety and emergency procedures, including evacuation protocols if needed.
•\tMaintain proper use of communication devices (radio/headset) for team coordination.
•\tMay be required to provide factual information or participate in legal proceedings related to incidents occurring on the premises.
•\tWork a flexible schedule, including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 1–2 years of experience in hospitality, nightlife, or similar environment preferred
•\tExperience with ID checks, guest interaction, crowd control, and incident documentation strongly preferred
•\tCPR/First Aid certification is a plus
•\tStrong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
•\tBasic computer skills (incident reporting, email, etc.)
•\tKnowledge of local alcohol laws and regulations preferred

ROLE LIMITATIONS & SCOPE OF DUTIES
This position is a hospitality-based role and is not a licensed security officer or security guard position. Employees in this role do not provide security services to third parties and are not authorized to act as law enforcement or exercise police powers. All actions taken by individuals in this role must be consistent with company training and policies, and focused on:
Guest service and experience
Observation and communication
De-escalation of situations
Prompt escalation to management when necessary

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is regularly required to stand for a prolonged period, reach, bend and lift heavy objects. The noise and activity level in the work environment is typically high.
Extended Standing & Mobility: Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, often for the entirety of a shift, while actively monitoring the premises.
Lifting & Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and move items such as cases of beer, kegs, glass racks, or equipment weighing approximately 20–50 pounds or more when assisting with safety or operational needs.
Physical Readiness: Must be capable of responding quickly to incidents, including intervening in conflicts or physically escorting guests when necessary.
Stamina & Endurance: Ability to remain alert, focused, and effective during long shifts, including late nights and high-volume service periods.
Repetitive Motion: Regular use of hands and arms for tasks such as operating radios, writing reports, checking IDs, and performing security screenings.
Manual Dexterity & Coordination: Required for handling communication devices, monitoring IDs, and maintaining control in fast-moving situations.
Vision & Hearing: Must have clear vision and strong situational awareness to monitor guest behavior, identify potential issues, and read identification; strong hearing is necessary to communicate effectively in a loud environment.
Balance & Agility: Ability to move quickly and safely through crowded spaces, navigate tight areas, and respond to dynamic situations without causing disruption or injury.
Environmental Exposure: Regularly exposed to loud noise, crowds, dim lighting, flashing lights, and secondhand smoke (where applicable).
Physical Strength: Capable of maintaining safety standards, including handling broken glass, clearing hazards, and supporting general venue safety and cleanliness.
