Accounting Manager: Rockton, IL
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and help drive the financial success of a well-established organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, leading a team, and partnering with leadership to improve financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting functions.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff while supporting a collaborative team environment.
- Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close activities.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with financial planning and reporting.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate annual audits and prepare supporting schedules and financial analyses.
- Partner with Human Resources on payroll, employee benefits, and related financial reporting.
- Oversee sales tax filings, 1099s, payroll reporting, and other regulatory requirements.
- Review customer credit requests and monitor credit risk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and support business initiatives.
Skills & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, required; CPA or CMA designation preferred
- Experience: 4+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, required. 3+ years of management experience required.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles, required.
- Software: ERP/accounting software experience, required. Advanced MS Office and proficiency in MS Excel, required.

Pay: $80,000 - $100,000/year
Type: Full-time, 1st Shift, On-site
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m – 5:00 p.m.
