About This Role
The Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in creating a nurturing environment for children and supporting the educational program. Collaborating with the Teachers and Director, this role requires strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting children's progress and communicating effectively with parents and staff. Under the guidance of the Teacher and Director, the Teacher Assistant will develop and implement engaging activities that cater to the children's interests and needs.
What You'll Do
- Participate in curricula activities and encourage active engagement from the children.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Build strong relationships with parents through regular updates and progress reports.
- Model healthy habits and promote self-help and good hygiene practices.
- Ensure a smooth daily transition for children arriving at and departing from the child care center.
- Adhere to all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain a professional development plan to enhance quality and improve skills.
Requirements
- Must pass health screening and clear full background check.
- Ability to work well with others.
- An understanding of child development.
- High energy.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
Nice To Haves
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience and CPR/First Aid certification.
