Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $22.00/hour
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (daily overtime available)

Position Overview:
The Shipping Assistant will support daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and proper documentation throughout the process. This role works closely with the shop supervisor and plays a key part in maintaining smooth logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Use time effectively and maintain an organized workflow
- Work closely with the shop supervisor on daily operations
- Process inbound shipments and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and clearly
- Manage outbound orders, ensuring they are fulfilled correctly
- Ensure all items are securely packed and labeled
- Attach all required paperwork, including packing slips, to outgoing orders
- Complete shipping reports and provide accurate documentation for accounting
- Take photos of shipments for records
- Assist with loading trucks and verifying shipment accuracy
- Operate a forklift (preferred)
Additional Responsibilities (as needed):
- Prepare shipping reports
- Maintain and track back-ordered items; follow up with the shop supervisor
- Schedule pickups with trucking companies
- Prepare bills of lading
- Assist with inventory control and quality assurance
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of relevant experience (shipping experience preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with shipping processes and documentation
- Experience with rigging points is a plus
- Forklift experience preferred
- Must wear steel-toe boots on site
